Meet Dr. Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri; GhanaCelebrities.Com’s Editor has been honored with a doctorate degree in Religion—a case he has erected to illustrate that the huge buzz surrounding the unending grant of many of such doctorates to Ghanaians by various institutions is pitiful.
Before last night, Chris-Vincent only held a degree in Law (L.LB) and a Master of Laws degree (LLM-International Human Rights Law) from two UK Universities. It must have taken an average of 5 years to acquire these two degrees through extensive and assiduous studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
On the back of the President John Dramani Mahama’s recent grant of an Honorary doctorate degree in Law by the University of Aberdeen and the accompanying seemingly disrespect of the President of Ghana by certain Scottish parliamentarians, Chris-Vincent decided to look at the whole noise surrounding the unending grant of honorary degrees to Ghanaian politicians and celebrities.(...)
